WWF and FSC in ancient forest logging controversy

Can it be true? Our beloved WWF (World Wildlife Fund) are reported to be co-operating with and actively promoting some dodgy loggers who are hacking our heritage into oblivion. This is going on under the aegis of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification scheme.

Ecological Internet (EI) recently reported upon Samling of Malaysia's activities in Guyana under the name of Barama (1.3 million ha/3.2 million acres), which received significant international bank financing based upon assurances provided by WWF and an FSC certificate of good forest management.
