• Felix Pappalardi
  started playing guitar on the Greenwich Village folk scene in the 1960s, working with such performers as Joan Baez, the Lovin' Spoonful and the Youngbloods. He came to prominance as a producer and musician, notably producing and performing on Disraeli Gears and Wheels of Fire (Cream ie Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker).
  After working with Cream, Felix formed Mountain with Leslie West and Corky Laing. Mountain was, as the name might suggest, a loud and heavy rock band, beloved by some and reviled by others.
  Felix was fatally shot in the throat on April 17th 1983 by his wife,Gail. She was acquitted of second degree murder but found guilty of criminally negligent homicide and jailed for 4 years.
  Gail apparently wrote the lyrics for Cream's Sunshine of Your Love.
