Firefox

If you are already using Firefox 1.5, using the 'check for updates' option under help will not result in finding version 2.0.
Instead you will need to go direct to the Firefox site, here and click the 'Download Firefox' button.

When you have downloaded the file and started the installation, it will ask you to close any Firefox browser windows you have open.
Installtion takes no more than a couple of minutes. If you had any add-ons in the previous version, it will check for compatibility with version 2. If any are found to be incompatible they will be shown and the option given to allow firefox to check for an updated version. If you agree, the update check and install is very quick and painless.

I did find a short delay where nothing seemed to be happening onscreen but , when I checked the HDD light, it was flashing away to show the install was still in progress.

After a short time, perhaps 30 seconds, up came the new browser window announcing it was successful.
